yeeeeeeeowwwwwwwwww I haven't posted in a while :O

So..... since my okinawa trip.. I've done a lot of s tuff!#!#! and that was all nice and fun... but this past weekend was one of ze funnnnnnnnnest weekends I've had here! So on Saturday... I went... SKIING!#!#!#! I love skiing... I even bought skis :O yaaaah I finally have my own set of skis!#!#! and I'm gonna make sure I use them to their value =D =D =D So saturday I went skiing... and its been a while since I've skiid? skied? wtf is this word... skied! I think.... and it was CrrAAaazzzzzzzyy... it was SNOWING.... and I was highhhh on the mountain and there was fog eVERYWHEREeee and with the snow coming down and landing on my glasses there was lots of water on my glasses.. and so I couldn't see ANYTHING... not even the freaking ground.. EVERRRYTHing was all white... so couldn't tell where bumps where and stuff.... but everything ended up good :D I only wiped out once ^^ and I went with the other coops and yukari, from epson!

So sunnnndayy.... I was pretty tired from skiing... after skiing on saturday I was like "man I wanna ski more!" cause I didn't actually ski for that much.. but then anyway its sunday.. anddddd.. I GO SKIING AGAIN!#!#!# hhAHHAHAHA and this time with my coworker! who is.... officially the best (only?) snowboarder I know personally! holy crpa he's crazy... but he's not even THAT good.. he just looks so ying when he snowboards... so easyyyy meanwhile I'm like dying -_-" but I think today... was some of the best scenary I've seen in my life :O There were two points with ridiculous scenary.. one was at the top of the mountain... where all you're acutally above the clouds... so when you look around, you can only see clouds below you and the tops of other mountains... sooooooo beautiful... and the other time was coming down on this windy path down the side of the mountain... waaaaah so nice... and I went down so many runs.. and I didn't wipe out once! I fell.. but didn't wipe out :O but adrian knows he needs lots of practice now... soooo timne to go more! :D and I'm feeling... pretty tired right now :O I can't wait till toorrow when I can't get out of bed... I hope I have a chance to come back to japan to ski laterrrr maybe when I'm rich....

mmmmmmmmmm anyways I r le tired... post more later! and soon.. and better pictures next time! if I feel brave enough to bring my camera with me...

Last week I went on a big, pretty expensive trip to Okinawa and I took some pictures! with my own camera yupyup... ummmm I'll put pictures of me up...later? o.O I look the same.. I've lost like 10 pounds since I came to japan though :P but anyway!

So first of all! what/where is okinawa???? zis is okinawa!

yeah... I think the temperature was high 20s everyday... its basically uhhhh an island.. between japan and china (owned by japan).. there was also a long seires of battles in ww2 between US and Japan that took place in okinawa...

but anyway its a resort! and its BEAUUUUUUUUUUTIFUL.... and it was much fun... I was just walking around and I was sweating.. and we were in the capital of okinawa for mos tof the time, and they had this international street who's shops were opened till like.. 11pm everynight.. and there were random bands and stuff playing... and very nice place to go on a vacation! I went from Tuesday and got back Sunday... thursday and friday were holidays because of thanksgiving... acdtually I dunno why thursday and friday were holidays :P

anyway some typical japanese food? looks like:

coolios! okinawa food compared to the rest of japan is uhh... okonomiyaki is still more delicious :P but okinawa food is by far the healthiest food I've ever eaten i think.. one of the lunches was a bento box... there was some rice... 3 pieces of chicken... and like 8 different kinds of vegetables... it was insane... the average life expectancy is over 90... for both male and female!#!#! so crazy...

so anyway I uhhh I did random stuff!#!#! just relax pretty much.. went shopping and stuff... but my favorite parts of my trip were... SCUBA DIVING!#!#!#!#! my first time :D its like.. on TV :O you're underwater... and there's like.. real fish! and like... corals... and its like... rocky lumpy mountains underwater... I dunno its kinda hard to explain.. but it was really beautiful!#!#!#! really reallyyyy beautiful... I wanna go again! expensive though... we went underwater twice and snorkling once... and there was a boatride to bring us to the scuba diving place... and in total everything was $160ish.... more expensive than skiing :(

umm aside from scuba diving! I also uhhh went to an aquarium! and some castles and stuff... and some more random pictures!

(Its a sea cucumber)... hehehhehehehe kinda funny looking... there's also TONNES OF SNAILS on okinawa... disgusting... and we also went to some small island off of okinawa... it was very nice!#!! there was/is? a US military base on the island.. called iejima....

hmmm there was also an abandoned runway and a cave..... it was really nice! kinda hard to put into words... a very peaceful island... I did uhhhh fall off a swing and bleed.. for a while... -_-" but anyway! yesyes I went on a swing... like when I was a kid.. and we used to play those games like kicking the shoe and see who kicks it the furthest... or jumping off the swing and seeing who jumps the furthest... or how about them bike tag! yeah.... anyway!#!#!

just one more.... very interesting.. maybe the most interesting thing about my trip!#!#! was... the place we stayed at!#!#!! so... we went to 4 different places.. the last was BY FAR THE WORST PLACE... its like a frekaing.. I dunno what its lke... bah here's a picture

its a GUY.. and he's like.. right there... yeah all the beds are lined together and there's 3 levels of beds.. and on both sides of the room.... so the room maybe fits ilke... 100 people in it? it was 8 bucks though.. :O but anyway!#!#!#! the COOOOOOOOOOOL "place to live" was.. the first night!#!#!# it was in "hotel"... although I think its called a dormatory... 15 bucks a night... name was coco shanti :O so.. when we first got to the capital of okinawa, naha, we were trying to find the hotel... and so we followed the signs and one of the signs pointed into this alley:

we were like nooowayyy... btw I went with one other guy... who's cooping from waterloo... but anyway! so here's the entrance of the house! errrr dorm... yeah its a house :P a SUPER DIRTY HOUSE...

but anyway... its probably the COOLESt place I've ever stayed at! its "run" by 3 guys.. all around my age? maybe a bit older than me... and anyway uhhh so we went in.. and they're all like "welcome".. and the place is just a hosue.. the main floor has a living room/kitchen.. and there's like 5 guys playing ps2 and like sitting on a couch... and the place is coed too! and the bedrooms are upstairs for guys, and in another part of the house for girls... but anyway uhhh the place is VERY casual... so the first night we were just talking.. and getting to meet the other poeple... (they're all japanese) so we couldn't really... fit.. in... cause they talked... fast :P but so some of them have been in okinawa for 2 months? like a vacation? hmmm me and the guy I went to okinawa with was wondering what they did for living... basically ALL these people do is just stay at the dorm/hostel house.. watch movies.. talk to girls... go out and walk around okinawa.. maybe go to a beach... play ps2... drink... :P the second day two guys had a ps2 tournament where they played ALL DAY... bah these people do nothing!#!#! I'm jealous :P I'm pretty sure they didn't go to university... so I guess they don't really have a "plan"? :) I dunno... but they're just enjoying life :D thats cool..... anywya the first night we ended up watching saw 2... was a pretty good movie :O and then uhhh yeah.... all the guys sleep in 1 room... and there's like 5 bunk beds? I dunno...

anyway it was a really cool place... the people there were just awesome... I dunno what they do! none of them work.. and there's a lot of people who've been living there for a couple months... maybe like a grad trip or something? without the grad part... and they're all around my age... so its like living with friends in a house! and you don't have to work or study or anything... and just having fun :D seems awesome.... and the GIRLS cook... AND clean.. so the guys who so called "run" the place... actually kinda get the girls to wash :P but its all good... mmm but they all smoke >_<

HellLLO!#!#!#! time for a post...

first... random crap about japan!#!#!
- every single female singer/whatever is popular!#!#!#! there's like *1* famous guy singer :P mr.children!#!#! most people haven't heard of stuff like asian kung fu generation or bump of chicken.... but utada hikaru!#!#! everyone knows her name... mmm ayumi doesn't seem that popular for some reason...
- its not a COMBO.. its a SET... yarrrr
- they have like.. ebi burgers and stuff... (shrimp) yummy.. :P
- everyone and their dog skies/snowboards
- forgot if I said this before... but reason why when japanese speak english they sound so funny (like.. binaru bantaji :P) is cause they use the japanese language to imitate english words!#!#!#! so they're missing certain sounds (like the l)... however they have the r sound so they replace everything with that...

anyway!#!#!

this past weekend... was AWESOME!#!#!#! :D I went to an Asian Kung Fu Generation concert!#!#!#! also my first concert ever!#!#!# unless you count the christian ones... they're awesome too :O but uhh... well first of all you're not allowed to take any pictures inside the concert area... but that didn't stop my coworker from taking a picture! so I stole his picture :P and here it is!#!#!

Honestly the concert was really nice!#!#! very enjoyable... there were 3 bands that played, and they weren't bad... but then AKG came and the crowd went nuts... everyone was like jumping and stuff and singing.. and even I was *trying* to sing :P japanese laaaa meeehhh I can mock their language enough :D but they played at least like.. 20 songs... so crazy... and it was just awesome!#!#! everyone was really excited :) there was... thousands.. of people... and they played in a stage up front.. and it was pretty dark... and getting kinda hot :P I also got uhh a tshirt... towel and wristband! wooo.. -_-"

soo ummm besides the concert!#!#! which was the highlight of my weekend.. I also went to tsukiji market!#!#! which was the second highlight of my weekend :P

ummm tsukiji market is the worlds biggest fish market (source citation needed :P)... and anyway we went at 6:30 in the morning! cause thats when they catch all the fish and serve the freshest fish... so anyway.... it was the BEST SUSHI I'VE EVAH HAD!#!#!#! that and it was a $17 breakfast.. but everyone's like you gotta spend $20 when you go :P but it was very worth it!#!#! kinda... you order individual sushi from the chef.. (I sat in front of the chef), so you're just like "excuse meeeee fatty tuna sushi please" or whatever and then they make it for you on the spot... *one* fatty tuna sushi... which is like.. normal size for a sushi.. was 4 bucks... so crazy >_< but SOOOOOOOOo frekaing good... but that was the most expensive sushi... other stuff was really good too! and tried some random stuff.... their eel was incredible too...

sooo besides that... I went to various places in tokyo! umm here's some random pictures... (all these pictures myf riend took... but from now I'ma bring my camera!#!!#!#! my 65 2 year old camera.. roarrrrr....

I don't even know where this is... but stuff like this is quite popular in Japan!

There was an art exhibition in this mall we went to... very interesting!

Roppongi(sp?) hills! kinda blurry... but uhhh it was 11pm.. and basically its a crazy clubbing/kareoke/izakaya place in Japan... bajillions of people on the streets... and people from UCLA shouting UCLAAA BLAHHHHH blah I wanna go to UCLA :( they seem so cool.. better than waterloo :P

and finally...

:O Its.. A HONEY AND CLOVER SHOP!#!#!#! yupyup.. I had an iced cocoa.... they're everywhere in japan! and they're AWESOME! ummm they sold various h&c stuff too... but SO COOL!#!#! a H&C coffee shop :D

Wow I'm in a weird mood... I don't feel like doing ANYTHING at all.. like.. NOTHING... nooo nuttin... so I decided to blog... okay maybe I feel like blogging? I dunno :P I should sleep soon but after I post la I guess :P okayyy... nothing too much to blog about... so here's some random pictures I've accumalated through the... months...! (some.. taken.. from.. someone else's site.. with permission I think?)

Thats my dorm!#!#! its surrounded on 3 sides by rice fields... and I think I saw some turtles in the pond...

Inside the dorm.. its the entrance to the shower! its very communal... -_-" kinda strange at first.. but I've gotten used to it! its very comfortable if its cold outside or I just wanna relax... but my room has a shower too

a while ago went to kamikochi.. and came across a *legion* of monkeys! monkies? but anyway thats one of them... a real monkey! in the wilds! my first time...

recently I haven't been doing too much.. I played piano for my teacher though! and then we played japanese life (the board game) -_-" and she made me home made okonomiyaki! when I come back I'll make okonomiyaki! :D I wonder if they sell okonomiyaki powder at that jtown... that would rock o.O must learn to make japanese food!

anyway thought I'd share some more stuff of the cool stuff that they do here which they don't do in canada! so to start.. I'd like to talk about work! :D ummmm they do a lot of stuff here that I wish they'd do in Canada.. its really good! for example... every friday after lunch, we vacuum our own cubicles o.O or at least working area.. maybe not cubicle... and the uhhh they have bells.. for lunch o.O kinda like school :D and every tuesday and thursday after lunch, someone has to give a 3 minute speech! on anything thye want.. its my turn this thursday.. and I think I'll talk about Canada... and yeah its in Japanese.. my japanese is horrible -_-" mmm... last week sometime we had a cleaning up day! well it was only for an hour or so, but we left the office to walk around the streets picking up garbage... they should do that in Canada!

What else is different around here... so high school is supposedly quite different too!
1. You're allowed to SLEEP during class...
2. There's high school clubs.. but EVERYONE has to join a club I think? and its not like Canada.. like if you join, you're supposed to go... and if you don't go then like.. well you're supposed to :P its like skipping a class in canada.. so basically you start school at 8:30 or whatever, and you don't get home till like 8:30 pm... pretty crazy

What do people like to do around here? well I've asked some of my coworkers... some like to join clubs! yoga club seems especially popular for some reason... ummm also they like to go to clubs... there's two kinds of clubs in Japan.. there's the.. drinking/dancing/music club... which is what they have in Canada... and then there's the "pay money and talk to women" club... which seems more popular here... they also like to go kareoke, pachinko and arcade... you can't go 5 minutes without seeing either a pachinko or arcade.. its crazy...

shopping in Osaka! maybe you can tell... the entire thing is semi indoors.. there's a cover over your head, but you're also kinda outdoors? but anyway people as far as the eye can see... crazy place...

In two weeks I'm going to an Asian Kung Fu Generation Concert!#!#!#! fun fun :D my first concert ever!#!#!#! unless those christian concerty things count as concerts....

I'd like to dedicate my last paragraph in my post to Japanese food :O its... I think its very high quality o.O like almost anywhere you go... my favorite is okonomiyaki.. but there's also Yakitori and just Izakaya in general... Okonomiyaki is like a pizza.. there's a okonomiyaki joint in Toronto! Yakitori is skewered food.. but its SOOOO good.... usually people like to eat the skewered food and drink... and last is the izakaya! actually I don't know how you spell it... but I really don't think they have this kind of restaurant in Toronto.. its basically like a bar.. but instead of serving wings and fries, they sell a LOT of different food... and very good food too! all the "dishes" are like.. 4-5 bucks.. but basically its like drinking food! so like.. there's not really a main dish, but there might be like.. chicken... or chips and stuff... I dunno I gotta take a picture of it to show la... but very good food!

anyway miss you all! and good luck on your exams! and... I should book... return tickets.. back... shouldn't I o.O I think maybe I'll start posting more... like shorter posts! but more often.. roarrrr
